Who we are
Gravity Canterbury was formed by Downhill enthusiasts to manage the sport of Downhill and Freeride mountainbiking in the Christchurch area.
Gravity Canterbury is affiliated to BikeNZ
and Mountain Bike NZ.
Bowenvale Valley 4WD track — update
The Council’s priority is public safety and Bowenvale still is not open until things are as safe as reasonably possible.

NZ Open update
Unfortunately with Bowenvale still closed this event can’t be run this year. It’ll be back next season.
Changes to cycling sports in NZ
BikeNZ has a new plan to unite all cycling codes (Road and Track, MTB, BMX and Schools cycling), with two levels of membership (ride or race). See above.

Lyttelton Urban Downhill
Dig Day — Saturday 19 May
Please email or text Ash if you have any questions about where and when, or put them on the Gravity Canterbury facebook page as comments under the dig day notice.
Otherwise just turn up on the day. As usual tools are provided and there will be a BBQ at the rangers station afterwards.
Meeting 9am at the rangers station in front of the big sheds. We will then head up to the appropriate area.
The dig day will only be cancelled if it is properly raining.
AGM 2012
Keep Tuesday 24 July free for a big night out at the Gravity Canterbury AGM! Starts 7:00pm at the Beckenham Service Centre (Library), 66 Colombo St.
